Surveys are one of the easiest ways to make extra money online. I love them because they are easy to complete, require no special skills or commitments, and can be done whenever you have free time.
Waiting in line at the DMV? Do a survey! Killing time in the car before school pickup? Another survey!
Surveys are a great way to fill the extra few minutes in your day while you’re getting paid in the process.
There are lots of survey sites out there, and I always recommend signing up for as many as possible. This gives you the best chance at making good money.
Still, it can be a pain to constantly log into different websites just to take these surveys, especially when you’re on the go.
That’s why survey apps are so handy.
Survey apps are designed to give you the best user experience while you’re taking them, and you can even enable notifications so you never miss an available survey.
Tips for Success with the Best Survey Apps
While there’s no trick to filling out surveys, it’s important to be as thorough as you can when providing your information. This is especially important when you’re signing up with the survey company and completing your profile.
Most survey companies will ask you a variety of questions about yourself so that they may best match you with qualifying surveys. When brands and organizations develop surveys, they each have a target demographic they are trying to reach. By providing as much information as you can, you’re helping the survey app see if you’re a match.
There’s no telling what brands are looking for, but you may find that you have better success at qualifying for surveys with some companies than you do with others. That’s why I recommend picking at least two or three survey apps to try out. The more you sign up with, the better chance you have at making money.

This post contains affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link.
Survey Junkie is one of my favorite survey apps out there. It’s also one of the most popular and well known. Surveys generally offer 10-200 points to complete, with each point equaling a cent. Once you reach $10, you can redeem those points for a payout. With many surveys paying $2 each, it won’t take long to reach this level.
Don’t qualify for a survey? With Survey Junkie, you get points even if you aren’t eligible to complete the whole survey. This means you’ll always get compensated for your time, making this one of the best survey apps.
Swagbucks is a super fun platform that lets you earn points in a variety of ways, including shopping, answering surveys, searching the web, and watching videos. You’re already doing most of that stuff anyway, so why not get rewarded for it?
Swagbucks offers many different ways to earn points, which means they accrue pretty quickly. Once you get enough points you can trade them in for cash (through PayPal), or gift cards to many of your favorite retailers.
Inbox Dollars is another fun survey site. Signing up is free and easy, and you get $5 just for joining. There is a large selection of surveys available, and you can earn money in other ways like playing games, completing email offers, and printing coupons. You do have to earn $30 before requesting a payout.
Surveys on the Go
Designed especially for mobile use, Surveys on the Go gives you access to surveys wherever you are. Once you download the app, you’ll typically receive one to two surveys a week. You’ll be matched with surveys according to a demographic profile you fill out when you first sign up.
Once you reach the $10 threshold, you can cash in for a PayPal payout or gift card equivalent.
Become an “influencer” and get paid for your thoughts and feedback when you sign up with Pinecone Research. In some instances, you may even receive products to try out and home in exchange for your feedback.
Pinecone Research is one of the better paying survey sites, because you’ll receive at least 300 points ($3) for every survey you complete. There is a catch though, and that is that they aren’t always recruiting new members. You’ll have to check from time to time to see if you’re able to get in with this survey company.
Toluna is a platform that connects you with surveys based on your daily experiences. Most surveys are created by brands or companies who want to discover how their customers really feel. Expect these surveys to take between 10 and 15 minutes each.
This survey app also offers polls and forum discussions that you can interact in. Collect points by answering surveys and engaging with the app. When you have enough points accumulated, you can trade them in for cash, store vouchers, or even sweepstakes prizes.
Google Opinion Rewards
With Google Opinion Rewards, you’ll receive about one survey a week. Like other sites, the surveys are on a variety of topics. Receive up to $1.00 in Google Play credit for each survey you complete.
I included this as one of the best survey apps because surveys are generally short and easy to answer. You’ll often be asked about recent purchases or trips to the store. This is a great app to download if you’re already making digital purchases on Google Play and you’d like credits to use towards those purchases.
i-Say offers you the opportunity to answer a number of fun surveys and polls in exchange for reward points. This survey app is a little different because you’re given the ability to create polls as well as answer them.
In addition to receiving reward points for completing surveys, you’ll also be entered into regular contests for the chance at winning bigger prizes.
Give Qmee your opinion and get paid for your efforts. Qmee is one of the best survey apps for quick cash because it has no minimum cash-out amount. This means you can redeem your points for cash at any time.
In order to earn more with Qmee, you can install the browser extension on your computer and receive additional rewards for shopping and searching the web.
